The SVQ Level 2 in Social Services and Healthcare has been designed for learners who work in the Healthcare Sector. The qualification is certificated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work.

  • Learning Outcomes
    This qualification involves a range of activities enabling learners to become successful within the Care sector. It gives learners the opportunity to demonstrate competence of working in the healthcare sector as a Care Manager, Senior Carer or Team Leader and have their existing skills recognised and achieve a nationally recognised SCQF Level 7 qualification. The Level 7 SVQ Social Services and Healthcare consists of 4 mandatory Units and 4 optional Units. This qualification involves a range of activities enabling learners to become successful within the care sector. It gives learners the opportunity to demonstrate competence of working in the sector and have their existing skills recognised and achieve a nationally recognised SCQF Level 7 qualification.
  • Assessment
    Assessment is through performance in the workplace and will be based on performance evidence, i.e.observation (in person, screen sharing) and work products generated by the learner. The specific evidence produced will depend on the choice of optional units.
  • Knowledge
    Upon successful completion, learners will gain an international recognised qualification which guarantees that they have the skills, knowledge and abilities required to carry out their role successfully.
